    amazing throw. not very useful for everyday lighting but it has its place

    Its great for the spotlight effect. It keeps a very narrrow beam of light out to about a mile and then from behind the Thor III it seemingly stops. If one is searching for something over a wider area this isnt the light for you. If you want light in a small viewing area or on a specific point this is your light. It does get warm with use and looks great pointing it skyward.
